Live Market Alerts Frequently Asked Questions

How much do Live Market Alerts cost?
Live Market Alerts are a FREE service for any customer who has a current subscription to an MBT LightWave Scanning Tool, Strategy Application, or the LightWave Trading Suite.

How do I set up Live Market Alerts?
There are several ways to access the Live Market Alerts service:

  1. Click on the Alerts icon in the MBT LightWave application.
  2. Click on the Alerts icon in the Web Community.
  3. Go to www.livemarketalerts.com and log in using your software username and password
Note: Customers accessing Live Market Alerts through the software or Web Community will not be required to log in again.

Once a customer enters the Live Market Alerts interface, they can enter their email addresses and/or mobile phone number(s) (limit two email addresses and phone numbers per account) and select by category the alerts they would like to receive.

What do Live Market Alerts look like?
Live Market Alerts are short messages that can be sent to a customer’s desktop, email account and/or mobile phone. The Live Market Alerts service is a Web-based application similar to a Microsoft Outlook layout.  Customers can set up alert notifications from the Web Community (Alerts tab in the navigation bar) or through the Live Market Alerts Web site (www.livemarketalerts.com) to receive alerts to their email and/or mobile phone.

Will I automatically start receiving Live Market Alerts?
Customers who have a current Scanning Tool, Strategy Application or MBT LightWave Suite subscription must configure alert notifications to begin receiving Live Market Alerts. Once established, these preferences can be adjusted at any time.

What Live Market Alerts can customers receive?
Live Market Alerts are entitlements based upon a customer’s MBT LightWave subscription/data feed, the latter of which is a requirement imposed by the market exchanges and not by MBT LightWave.

  • Equities Alerts: Require an active subscription/registered data feed for MBT LightWave Stocks or MBT LightWave Options, and an active subscription to a Scanning Tool or Strategy Application.
  • FOREX Alerts: Require an active subscription/registered data feed for MBT LightWave FOREX and an active Strategy Application subscription.
  • All Alerts: Requre an active subscription/registered data feed for the MBT LightWave Trading Suite.

What about CommandTRADE owners?
In order to receive Live Market Alerts, CommandTRADE and CommandTRADE FX owners must have a registered data feed for their software and a subscription to any Scanning Tool, Strategy Application or the MBT LightWave Suite.  The good news is that any Scanning Tool or Strategy Application is only $50 a month for CommandTRADE owners – that’s half the price of our regular subscribers!

What about customers who have the MBT LightWave Trading Suite?
If customers have an MBT LightWave Trading Suite subscription, they can receive Live Market Alerts—provided they have current data feeds registered with the applicable exchanges. Again, this is a requirement set forth by the exchanges.

How many e-mail addresses can I send Live Market Alerts to?
Customers can set up alerts to two email addresses and two mobile phone numbers.  Now, whether customers are on the road or sitting at home, they won’t have to miss any Alerts!

What types of alerts will I receive?
The sky’s the limit with Live Market Alerts!  Customers will receive alerts based on news events, breakout Pressure and Price charts, support and resistance on specific stocks or currency pairs, and many more.  Alerts will fall under these basic categories:

  • Recent News:  Major newsworthy events that could affect the market.  Earnings postings, Fed meetings, economic news and more fall under this category.
  • Market Updates:  Major movements in the market, Index updates and more will be reflected in this category.
  • Fundamental Analysis:  General analysis of the overall movements of the markets fall under this category.
  • Technical Analysis:  Using the MBT LightWave Pressure and Price charts, alerts will be sent regarding specific securities or currency pairs that have breakout potential, support or resistance, etc.

Where does the information for Live Market Alerts come from?
We will be using our MBT LightWave Trading Platform to analyze market movements and provide customers with alerts.  Just like our customers, we rely on MB LightWave to show us the way in the markets.  We will also compile information from other news sources to provide customers with the most comprehensive alerts possible.

Who will be sending Live Market Alerts?
We have a dedicated team of experienced traders, both from TradingViews Network and within our company, who will be providing customers with immediate, accurate Live Market Alerts.  We may even send out alerts when our on-air TVN traders have a great trade to share. Customers can trust the source of Live Market Alerts!

Will I be getting alerts 24/7?
As we begin our Live Market Alerts service, we will focus our alerts around the hours of the U.S. Stock Market.  Alerts will probably begin an hour or two before the market opens, and stop an hour or two after the market closes.  If one of our traders notices something truly groundbreaking during off-hours, he/she may send an alert as well.  Our goal down the road is to provide customers with round-the-clock alerts as demand dictates.

I’m not a Day Trader.  Are Live Market Alerts still helpful to me?
Absolutely!  In addition to our alerts on potential breakout trades, we will be providing alerts on the overall condition of the market and other broad topics.  Customers can even customize the types of alerts they receive to align with their individual trade style and trade plan.

Will you tell us when to buy or sell?
Live Market Alerts will bring to the customers’ attention different issues that are moving the markets, as well as potential trade opportunities.  These alerts are not to be considered as being buy, sell or hold advice.
